Bedside Cabinet

Hello again,
It's only me! I know you still waiting for the finishing of my Bathroom, but I am afraid that will have to wait a little longer, as my daughter is one day away to be born.....well ok it's her due date tomorrow and she surly doesn't want to come along when told. Girls are always taking their time. She might hop along with a dealy :-)

In the meantime it has been a bit more difficult with the bending bit and all that sort of thing as I am as big as a house by now. So I have focused on easy things. I haven't had a bedsite cabinet and thought hey I can do one.
Said and done the same week. Started to build the corpus of it and decided I dont want any doors on it. As I have been building our bedroom in an morroccan style I decided to go well in this direction.......sort of.
I have build a shelf with backing and glossed it all in this dark chocolate colour.


After I done all of it (sorry is on the side so you have to turn your head) I started to see what I would like for a top design and came up with a plain floral pattern.







Well next step was only to fill in the flower and get on to the grouting.




I also painted the inside in lime green to match with our feature wall.

Tada.................... it's done and I am loving it! Got also some Morroccan lamps to go with it. Once I had finished mine Hubby just said I dont like mine. Can you make one for me too?

Well I have done so today and will show you the progress on it in the comencing days as it's not completed. Besides I also made a Baby chaning unit for my daugther and will give you the whole story about that once I finished to refill the and sanding and one more glossing and you shall have it all written and documented!!! Promise I will be good and get writing soon again!!

Hello, time is flying by when trying to keep up with everything, but I didn't want to show you again just have done items.....well OK at least you cant see it on the picture. This is one of 6 dinner mats. I had lots of different tiles left and thought its nice having some for our table. It's just not good having some made out of carton if you dribble a lot or make a mess. Not that I dribble .....don't get any ideas! Anyway let's just swiftly move on :-) Yes well I made this over a weekend and hubby wanted to have clean lines so I will have to gloss the side and bottom in a nice beige rather then tiling them as I did the one before. It is funny how both of us went for different favourites. I love the once big and chunky and not so precise. How it all started

Hi, I always wanted to do something creative and when I moved to the UK I was without my family and friends and what shall I say...... you got plenty of time on your hand...... I started making jewellery and cards 5 years ago and took a mosaic course last year. This has been one of the best weekends ever. I loved it sooooo much that I started to make more and more till today. My ultimate dream would be to make mosaics for everyone to order. This would be just haven, but hey ho at the moment every new house will get a mosaic in the......and we move a lot!!! Well first one I done was on an old tray and it should be the phoenix. Germany, UK, Switzerland to Australia

Hi there, its been years since I gotten around to post or write anything at all....but I made a promise to start this all over again and here we go. Its been a bit of a detour since last. We moved to Switzerland and bought a house that I of course started to renovate....but than again there was only so much I could do....so no mosaics that have been done except for one little bit that I will bring up later as it is now with me in Perth. Gosh so much has happened since we arrived here. The house we bought is a full renovation project. the shell is good and well everything else is down to our imagination or shall i say mine. What I have noticed and was so shocked about is the fact that only now they are banning plastic bags. Gosh this is not good. I dont have a composting bin because they dont do that here either.
