How it all started

Hi,
I always wanted to do something creative and when I moved to the UK I was without my family and friends and what shall I say......
you got plenty of time on your hand......
I started making jewellery and cards 5 years ago and took a mosaic course last year.
This has been one of the best weekends ever.
I loved it sooooo much that I started to make more and more till today.
My ultimate dream would be to make mosaics for everyone to order.
This would be just haven, but hey ho at the moment every new house will get a mosaic in the......and we move a lot!!!

Well first one I done was on an old tray and it should be the phoenix. Yes it's a bird and yes this really should be flames!!! Trust me I made it :-)

The second project was in our old Victorian house a fire souround and after that there was no holding back.

I also made some place mats for our dining table with a matching border for our kitchen cupboard. Good that we sold the house, otherwise I probably would have done the court yard garden next.

Well we now have a big house as our next project and I am now allowed to move on to bigger and better. My pure husband has let me on the loose and I started my next project "BATHROOM".
I already made the splashback but have to wait until I ripped the last bits out of the On-Suit to get going with the mosaic tiling. I will upload more pictures as I move along but at the moment that is it from my side.

Placemats for the dining tabel

Hello, time is flying by when trying to keep up with everything, but I didn't want to show you again just have done items.....well OK at least you cant see it on the picture. This is one of 6 dinner mats. I had lots of different tiles left and thought its nice having some for our table. It's just not good having some made out of carton if you dribble a lot or make a mess. Not that I dribble .....don't get any ideas! Anyway let's just swiftly move on :-) Yes well I made this over a weekend and hubby wanted to have clean lines so I will have to gloss the side and bottom in a nice beige rather then tiling them as I did the one before. It is funny how both of us went for different favourites. I love the once big and chunky and not so precise. Germany, UK, Switzerland to Australia

Hi there, its been years since I gotten around to post or write anything at all....but I made a promise to start this all over again and here we go. Its been a bit of a detour since last. We moved to Switzerland and bought a house that I of course started to renovate....but than again there was only so much I could do....so no mosaics that have been done except for one little bit that I will bring up later as it is now with me in Perth. Gosh so much has happened since we arrived here. The house we bought is a full renovation project. the shell is good and well everything else is down to our imagination or shall i say mine. What I have noticed and was so shocked about is the fact that only now they are banning plastic bags. Gosh this is not good. I dont have a composting bin because they dont do that here either.
