Bathroom

Well hello,
Good lord has it been that long since I have written?
I do feel guilty!!! It's not like I haven't done anything.....nonono...I done lots but it was more like designing a new bathroom all in mosaic and also a couple of presents for my best friend.
So I was actually a busy bee.
Anyway i better make a start. We moved in our house a year ago and our on-suite well lets say it like that was what I come to call "the shower of horror".
Trust me you really dont want any details on the smell or cleaniness!!!! YOU DON'T!!!

I started to think about what i could do with it as I knew this bathroom needs to be redone. New flooring, new tiling.......all new....well at least that was the plan.
So once I had decided and sat down to draw up a couple of pictures......considering I can not draw very well. This was my first challange. After the boss (my husband) had signed the design off I was about to get the material when I thought.................save the planet and recycle and well that's when it started. I redone all my sketches and drawn it up all new.
Out came a design of a maroccon bathroom design with all the tiles i had just ripped out.
I thought hey they are beige make it all beige brown  and whatever you can have for free. Said and done. I smashed it all up and also used an old mirror our last owners left behind and reused all this items to build my new bathroom.
Once started on the wall there was hardly any holding back................well till I noticed I was pregnant and what shall I tell you...............it really was holding me back. If you think you can carry on like before.....................nooooooooooooo..................way. I was for the first 6 month ill and had held up my hand for everything you could imagen you could get on horrible things in a pregnancy. I spare you the details, but this has pushed the plan of my wonderful bathroom very far behind schedule. Anyway now 9th month pregnant and looking like a stranded wale I am still on my bathroom.....and you wont believe it. I am soooooooooo close to get it all finished before my little monster is ready to pester me :-)

First thing she will learn is how to tile and design a bathroom......that's for sure.

I know I am not ready but I wanted to share a couple of pictures with you so you see I haven been just lazy the last year!!

Hope you like it, but trust me there is more to come about it soon!! We still get the finishing done and the floor in and and and.......

      Hi flowerr, I had kind of a 7 year break with my little monster coming along and moving countries twice and a full time job.....sort off got the better of me.....all is good...only took me 3 years to reply to you so thats not to bad right?

Hello, time is flying by when trying to keep up with everything, but I didn't want to show you again just have done items.....well OK at least you cant see it on the picture. This is one of 6 dinner mats. I had lots of different tiles left and thought its nice having some for our table. It's just not good having some made out of carton if you dribble a lot or make a mess. Not that I dribble .....don't get any ideas! Anyway let's just swiftly move on :-) Yes well I made this over a weekend and hubby wanted to have clean lines so I will have to gloss the side and bottom in a nice beige rather then tiling them as I did the one before. It is funny how both of us went for different favourites. I love the once big and chunky and not so precise. How it all started

Hi, I always wanted to do something creative and when I moved to the UK I was without my family and friends and what shall I say...... you got plenty of time on your hand...... I started making jewellery and cards 5 years ago and took a mosaic course last year. This has been one of the best weekends ever. I loved it sooooo much that I started to make more and more till today. My ultimate dream would be to make mosaics for everyone to order. This would be just haven, but hey ho at the moment every new house will get a mosaic in the......and we move a lot!!! Well first one I done was on an old tray and it should be the phoenix. Germany, UK, Switzerland to Australia

Hi there, its been years since I gotten around to post or write anything at all....but I made a promise to start this all over again and here we go. Its been a bit of a detour since last. We moved to Switzerland and bought a house that I of course started to renovate....but than again there was only so much I could do....so no mosaics that have been done except for one little bit that I will bring up later as it is now with me in Perth. Gosh so much has happened since we arrived here. The house we bought is a full renovation project. the shell is good and well everything else is down to our imagination or shall i say mine. What I have noticed and was so shocked about is the fact that only now they are banning plastic bags. Gosh this is not good. I dont have a composting bin because they dont do that here either.
