Birthday wish for my friend

Well here I am back again with to little time on my hand as usual. Gosh I do wonder every time again how long it takes to make a mosaic. I have to tell you ....MY HANDS ARE KILLING ME!!! I was clipping tiles for over 4 hours. We are not just talking about the usual standard mosaic tiles ....no no we are talking about normal tiles for kitchens and bathrooms. Why, oh why am I always so much into the environment.....you know the kind of save the world type and having to reuse everything. Serves me right..... So yes I have started with two projects the same time....really shouldn't do that but just can't help myself so done it anyway. OK the save the world project are our new place mats for our dining table as our old ones are sold with the last house. New house, new place mats. I haven't got any pictures uploaded but will do so over the next two weeks...PROMISE!!! The other project is my friends Birthday present. She has a red and white themed kitchen and mentioned gent...

How it all started

Hi, I always wanted to do something creative and when I moved to the UK I was without my family and friends and what shall I say...... you got plenty of time on your hand...... I started making jewellery and cards 5 years ago and took a mosaic course last year. This has been one of the best weekends ever. I loved it sooooo much that I started to make more and more till today. My ultimate dream would be to make mosaics for everyone to order. This would be just haven, but hey ho at the moment every new house will get a mosaic in the......and we move a lot!!! Well first one I done was on an old tray and it should be the phoenix. Yes it's a bird and yes this really should be flames!!! Trust me I made it :-) The second project was in our old Victorian house a fire souround and after that there was no holding back. I also made some place mats for our dining table with a matching border for our kitchen cupboard. Good that we sold the house, otherwise I probably would have don...
